SOCH Announces New Medical Staff Leadership for 2010

Steven Koerner , DO FACOI, Newly Elected president SOCH Medical Staff for 2010 and 2011

Steven Koerner, DO FACOI, has been elected President of the SOCH Medical Staff for a two-year term. Dr. Koerner is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists and Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He has been practicing in the Manahawkin, NJ area since 1994. He received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. He completed his Internship and Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. His areas of interest include Endoscopy, Capsule Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Upper Endoscopy, ERCP, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Liver Disease, Swallowing Difficulty, and Nutrition.

Also elected to leadership roles were SOCH Radiation Oncologist Joseph Lattanzi, MD as vice president; Interventional Radiologist Thomas Yu, MD as secretary treasurer and Otolaryngologist Lynn Bezpalko, DO as member at large.

During his two-year tern as medical staff President, Dr. Koerner will represent the 230 physicians on the medical staff at SOCH who represent over 40 specialities.
