The Ocean Club

Southern Ocean County Hospital brings exercise and education to the forefront with the offerings at the Ocean Club — a 40,000+ square-foot fitness and wellness facility.

The award-winning Ocean Club offers a new perspective on living well as it combines a full range of wellness programming within its core fitness plan. This comprehensive approach helps educate and keep people healthy. The Ocean Club was nationally recognized as a recipient of the prestigious "Distinguished Achievement Award" from the Medical Fitness Association ranking The Ocean Club as the premier medical fitness facility among more than 1,000 similar facilities in the country.

In addition to its exceptional fitness staff, equipment and amenities, the Ocean Club offers physical rehabilitation services through SOCH Physical Therapy & Sports Rehabilitation Network.

It is here that licensed physical and occupational therapists work with referring physicians to devise customized rehabilitation programs for people who have been injured or are recovering from surgery. The personal program will ultimately help restore patients’ strength, flexibility, range of motion and confidence to lead an active life.

The Family Resource Center also maintains the hub of its extensive health education and outreach programs at the Ocean Club, including the Diabetes Self-Management Program, and a wide range of lectures and courses designed to help people make healthy lifestyle choices. Programming at the Family Resource Center has also earned recognition receiving the "HRET Community Outreach Award" twice in the past six years from the New Jersey Hospital Association.
